What Exactly is

Wareing Cremation Services?

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (their predecessor being the Board of Funeral Services) gave us the title of “Transfer Service – Class 2”.
Final Arrangement Services

Even this little Blue Jay is doing a double take, with an expression that says....

“A What?!”

Let us provide a transparent explanation of what Wareing Cremation Services is.
Short Answer:

A trusted Establishment that provides the respectful care expected and the professional Services, Facilities, Supplies and Documentation required when someone dies and your decision is for Direct Cremation or Direct Burial.  When someone dies in a hospital, long term care, their home or a residence, or in Hospice, and you want us to be your Provider, please have a family member (police/nurse/ palliative care provider as applicable) call Wareing Cremation Services.

For those with an immediate need of our Services – when a death has occurred – know that we are prepared to respond and that is why we answer our own phones day and night.

Long Answer:

Let's start with these questions:

Do you know what Direct Cremation involves?

Do you know what Direct Burial involves?

Our Answer: Most likely not,

Let us begin by saying that,
Wareing Cremation Services......
is much more than you believe we are!

Wareing Cremation Services is owned and operated by educated and licensed Bereavement Professionals. Both Paul Wareing and Barbara Wareing have personal licenses as T.S.S.R.’s, having graduated from Humber College in Toronto, Ontario.  Wareing Cremation Services is independent of any and all other bereavement facilities and individuals, and always has been.  Our business and personal licenses are issued and regulated by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario.  All funeral establishments, Transfer Services, crematoriums, and cemeteries are regulated by this Authority and must adhere to the legislation laid out.

Ours is a vocation to facilitate the wishes of the deceased.  As human beings we observe religious and cultural ceremony to honour our dead, and to celebrate or memorialize a life lived.  Paul Wareing and Barbara Wareing realize that there has been, and most definitely is continuing to be, a shifting away from a seven-decades old trend that strutted outdated ideas and affirmations back to something more reflective of one’s own personal values and beliefs.  This does not mean that religious and cultural ceremony are being abandoned but rather, in many circumstances, all of these are finally being brought back into focus with such meaningful positivity and sincerity.

Paul Wareing and Barbara Wareing have the integrity to provide for those who are experiencing loss, and to be the advocate that they need.  It is our obligation as Bereavement Professionals to provide complete information – to outline all of the options available and all of the absolute requirements – that will allow our clients to make the best decision, that being an informed decision.

This complete information is imperative since most people really have no concept of what processes are absolutely required when someone dies, and alternately what is an option.

Each of us is unique in how we process our thoughts and comprehend events, so it will come as no surprise to any of us that some individuals are more focused on the ‘business’ and others on the ‘visual’ or ‘furnishings’ of the entire process....and this is a common disconnect for the overall understanding of what must, will or can be organized.

These differences of preconceived focus and thought, or total lack of either, exemplify the requirement of complete disclosure by Bereavement Professionals.

Once you have called and requested our Services

At Wareing Cremation Services, we care for the deceased from the time we bring him or her into our care from the hospital, nursing home, hospice, or their own home.  Yes, we provide transportation of the deceased to our Establishment from the place of death, and to and from the crematorium (or in the choice of Direct Burial, to the cemetery on the day of burial).

We have taken time and effort to design comfortable Establishments with the look and feel of a welcoming residence.  These efforts extend to the attractive yet properly equipped climate-controlled room that we provide for the deceased.

Within an acceptable timeframe (usually no more than 18 to 24 hours) we will meet with the executor/next of kin of the deceased and facilitate the decisions made for either cremation or burial.

We are responsible for all of the administrative and logistical aspects involved (including registering the death).  We explain the processes required, the style in which we choose to provide respectful touches that matter, and move through the choices available such as preparing an Obituary, choosing an Urn, deciding on keepsakes whether that be a memento urn or heart or a particular pendant.

Our Establishments have a beautiful selection of Urns for you to view with catalogues that can provide even more choices.  We are able to provide for those requiring caskets, grave vaults for urns or caskets, memorial cards for your Service or Celebration, and reception guest books.

We return your loved ones cremated remains to the executor or next of kin in the Urn chosen, or in the circumstance of direct burial we attend graveside with the casketed body of your loved one.  We provide a ‘Paper Package’ with 11 Proof of Death Certificates, a cremation certificate (required document for the cemetery inurnment), copies of the documents and Contract signed (for the Executor’s records), an outline of Next Steps as an assist for direction of responsibilities, and  prepared CPP death benefit and survivor benefit application(s) that the Executor will sign and mail.

Now, because transparency and informed decisions are paramount to our purpose.....it is important for a family and the Executor (the Consumer) to understand that designated Family Members will be responsible (as applicable) to organize and facilitate the Religious Services or the Celebration of Life that they choose.

** Please note that although our personal and business licenses do not permit us to provide a space or to facilitate in any way a visitation or formal services, Wareing Cremation Services can and most certainly will provide contact information for Clergy, Officiants, Cemetery Staff, Venues, Caterers, and Florists if these contacts and businesses are something your family needs assistance with to enable your family to continue on their own to plan and coordinate the most perfect and fitting Graveside  Service, Church Service, or Celebration.

When you choose Wareing Cremation Services you are choosing an alternative to the traditional funeral home experience.
